Tailored to trained Six Sigma Green Belts who want to become Black Belts, this exciting new program begins with a 3-day refresher followed by two interactive one-week sessions covering the Black Belt curriculum and responsibilities.

There is a three-week break between each training session for project work. A final exam is given at/near the candidate's place of work withing 10 days of the final session. Following successful completion of the training and exam, candidates seeking certification are required to complete a Six Sigma project.

The training includes Minitab, and attendees are responsible for bringing laptops with Minitab 15 software. Upon registration, attendees must preselect a qualified Six Sigma project and provide evidence of successful completion of Green Belt training.

Lean Six Sigma efforts will succeed only if your organization's leaders believe it is in the company's and their best interests to make sure it succeeds. Champions are leaders selected to translate the strategic direction and high-level Lean Six Sigma deployment plan into action.

Champions:

This 3.5 day workshop helps champions successfully deploy Lean Six Sigma and select projects linked to the strategic plan. During the pre-event preparations, the facilitator determines which Lean concepts and tools are appropriate for the subject process and each phase of the 5-day event. On-Site Course Description

In our experience, organizations get the greatest return from this course. It is intended for design or improvement teams that are planning VOC data collection for their projects. Project teams representing different processes, or design teams representing multiple product lines are some examples of groups that can attend. The course offers 3 days of classroom training on the same material covered in the 3-day course. However, this training is offered in three segments of one day each, separated by a 3-6 week interval. The second day of each two day session is devoted to working on the project under the facilitation of the instructor. In the first session, the students learn about VOC data collection and develop their own customized data collection plans. In the second session, students bring their collected data, and learn how to analyze their data to extract and prioritize needs. In the final session, students develop CTQ measures from their analyzed customer needs.

Optional consulting support is also available in the periods between the sessions for additional assistance in data collection and analysis if required.

The topics covered in the 3-day training are also covered in 1.5 days as part of the Measure step of Oriel's DMADV (Design for Six Sigma) training. An extended DFSS training program that includes a longer and more detailed VOC component is also available.

Even better, this course will help you prepare for Project Management Professional® (PMI) certification from the Project Management Institute® (PMI).

A case study is threaded throughout the program and includes activities that enable participants to apply thelessons that they're learning. The curriculum is presented in dual fashion: PMItheories are presented and then augmented with examples from the course instructors' project management experiences. This combination of theoretical and practical gives students a more intensive presentation of the material, so that they can absorb-and retain-it more thoroughly.

Prerequisites
At least 2-4 years of experience working in a project manager role and leading a team, familiarity with and understanding of PMI® and the PMBOK® Guide, and/or interest in and sufficient experience (4,500 hours over 5 years) to take the PMI certification exam.
